Kasikornbank Introduction


The KASIKORNBANK Public Company Limited was established on June 8,1945 with registered capital of Baht 5 Million and only 21 employees. Its first office is now the Thanon Sua Pa Main Branch. The Bank showed healthy performance after only six months in operation. As of December 31,1945 or at the end of its first accounting period,the Bank recorded total deposits of Baht 12 Million,assets of Baht 15 Million.
Since its inception,the Bank has grown healthily. As of June, 2014 the Bank with registered capital of Baht 30,486 Million had total assets of Baht 2,340 Billion, total deposits of Baht 1,567 Billion and total loans of Baht 1,472 Billion. The Bank operates 1,054 branches and sub-offices across the country. The Bank has fifteen overseas offices,including the Kasikornbank Lao PDR., Shenzhen Branch, Chengdu Branch, Hong Kong Branch, Los Angeles International Branch, Cayman Islands Branch, Longgang Sub-Branch and the Representative Offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Kunming, Tokyo, Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, which greatly facilitate international trade and financial service transactions between Thailand and our trade partners worldwide.

KBank issued “K-My Debit Card”, which is Thailand’s first debit card service that allows customers to personalize their own debit cards.  
KBank launched new hours of operation, 8.30-16.30 hrs. on Mondays to Thursdays and 8.30-18.00 hrs on Fridays, at KBank branches bearing the ‘KBank Extra Hour’ sign.

KBank was Thailand’s first financial institution to issue a chip-embedded MasterCard credit card.
